Front End Developer

Swindon, Cruise Specialist

£37 500 to £40 000

A brilliant Cruise client is looking for a talented Front-End Developer to join their team in Swindon.

Within this role you will be looking after the Front-end development of the next generation of Travel websites. You will join the design team to help major brands build business critical travel websites around the globe. You will get involved with all stages of the process from the initial wire-framing, right through to design, build and testing.

Skills required

*Highly proficient in standard front-end technologies like HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript/jQuery
*Excellent knowledge of UI and graphic design principles and tools
*Experience using CSS pre-processors such as Sass or Less
*A portfolio of previous build experience
*Experience creating reusable components
*Excellent knowledge of Umbraco or a similar CMS and experience of working with responsive frameworks such as Bootstrap or similar

Skills that would benefit your application:

*Experience within a professional team environment
*Experience of mobile first web development
*A good grasp of wire-framing tools and practices
*Knowledge of CSS naming conventions such as BEM/SMACSS or similar
*Experience of front-end templating languages and front-end performance optimisation best practices
*Knowledge of task runners like grunt/gulp
*Experience with modern front-end frameworks
