Senior Flight and Operations Executive £23-30k + benefits inc 25 days holiday - Central London. Fantastic opportunity to become part of an ever-growing company, 25 days holiday, Excellent employee benefits. You will be working work alongside our Senior Customer Services & Operations Executive also helping with general operational issues and other complaints as required. We are looking for someone with strong GDS knowledge, an impressive understanding of airline rules and routings and ideally a background in ticketing. You will be someone who enjoys problem solving and communicating with airlines, suppliers and customers alike.
Senior Flight and Operations Executive Duties -

  • Provide operational support to our Call Centre for complex flight related issues (eg significant flight changes and cancellations)
  • Provide support and assistance for GDS queries (eg system entries such as pricing)
  • Manage the issuance of licenses and new user set up for Amadeus and Travelport
  • Provide advice to the Call Centre for escalated pre and in resort complaints relating to flights and other modes of transport (transfers, car hire, Eurostar etc)
  • Monitor the FAQs on our website to ensure they are up to date ensuring airline rules and visa requirements adhere to the latest regulations
  • Manage the process to ensure any requests for member's accounts are deleted within a timely fashion
  • Provide weekly /monthly reports as required in the absence of the Head of Operations



Skills Required-

  • 2+ years' proven experience in dealing with scheduled flights with a strong understanding of UK airline rules and regulations
  • Strong GDS experience in at least 1 system - knowledge of both Amadeus and Travelport is desirable but not essential
  • A good understanding of pricing and ideally ticketing experience
  • Experience in handling complex flight situations and flight emergencies
  • An excellent communicator both verbally and in written communications
  • Experience in liaising directly with customers and airlines
  • Ideally experience in handling complaints (pre and/or post departure)
