£30-45K (DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE)
This is an exciting opportunity if you have a successful proven background as a Business Development Manager in the travel industry. A well-established long-haul airline is seeking a Business Development Manager to win new business within the travel sector as well as effectively analyse data to develop and maximise existing accounts.
Expertise within the airline industry is preferred, however previous experience in a sales driven Business Development Manager role in the travel industry is essential. This role is a combination of office and field based.
Please note this is a full time, 12-month contract position.
Role & Responsibilities
*Manage assigned accounts to meet agreed targets
*Implement and manage strategic partnerships to protect and grow revenue as well as market share
*Use data to define revenue driving activity and be able to create plans and actions from analysis that will deliver incremental revenue
*Representation the company at industry events
*Negotiation and management of commercial agreements
*Continuously identify new revenue opportunities
*Budget Management
Skills and Experience Required
*Excellent knowledge of the airline and travel industry
*Proven background in a Business Development Manager role in the travel industry is essential
*Knowledge of MIDT, e-smash and similar industry reports will be very advantageous
*Driven by achieving targets
*Strong negotiation skills
*Excellent people skills
*Ability to prioritise, for short- and long-term commercial objectives
*Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels across markets
