Senior Web Developer Swindon

My client is a specialist tour operator who are growing by the day, they are looking to increase their team and are currently looking for a Senior Web Developer to join their web team. This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Web Developer to be part of a leading and innovative organisation based in Swindon. The new team will support local developments and manage any third parties engaged in outsourced development. They really area dynamic, fast changing organisation.

THE JOB:
_To manage our web development across 5 countries in line with business strategy and requirements.
_Website development and Project Management
_Active management and development of websites.
_Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
_Oversee management and optimisation of digital infrastructure including servers and continued site optimisation (speed, SEO) for best global website performance.
_Management of third party suppliers for both server hosting and outsourced development.
_Implement functionality upgrades both front and back end to improve systems performance e.g. automation of internal processes, reporting, partner feed / portals.
_Lead development and enhancement of new and existing websites with a particular focus on complex data management and visualisations, linking backend database systems with interactive frontend user experiences for a range of audiences
_Development and management of a central master Content Management Systems database for secure storage, managed access and data - Work closely with our Marketing and Product teams to develop systems to maximise digital assets.
_Ensure data moves neatly between multiple systems using custom APIs.

THE CANDIDATE:
_Excellent knowledge of PHP, SQL, CSS3, HTML5, JS, Bootstrap, C#, Java, .NET
_Strong understanding of object-oriented programming
_Skill for writing reusable libraries
_Familiar with various design and architectural patterns
_The ability for writing clean, readable, and easily maintainable code
_Understanding of fundamental design principles for building a scalable application
_Experience creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
_Project Management
_Demonstrable experience developing data dashboards linking multiple data sources to create user friendly live reporting
_Version control experience & exposure to 3rd party API integrations
_Demonstrable experience conducting user interface and experience research to understand potential audiences driving statistics and with a proven ability to present results clearly and succinctly to inform product development and future campaigns
_Excellent communication, interpersonal and motivational skills with ability to relate to and work effectively with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures, at all levels
_Flexible, adaptable approach to changing priorities

THE PACKAGE:
The salary for this exciting new Swindon based role is in the region of £50000 - £55000 plus this company like to reward their staff so they have a fantastic company benefits scheme which includes a bonus, pension and medical contributions!
