Head of Learning and Development - A newly created and exciting opportunity, working for a leading company in the travel industry, responsible for partnering senior business leaders to agree and deliver development plans to move the business forward. You will be responsible for influencing change at a strategic level and applying best practice to support the organisations growth plans. The position will be based in South West London with national travel required.

Head of Learning and Development

Reporting to the HR Director, you will be responsible for growing and developing a small team responsible supporting the development of multi-disciplines staff across half a dozen sites across the UK. You will define and deliver the people development strategy, partnering with senior business leaders and demonstrating expected results. You will create and deliver the succession planning programme, as well as implementing engagement and performance initiatives to create a culture of continuous improvement. You will ensure there are appropriate and flexible learning materials using classroom, e-learning, coaching and mentoring as well as external programmes. You will design and implement the on-boarding programme, provide guidance on people development policies and contribute to the annual budgeting process.

Head of Learning and Development Responsibilities

  • Significant experience leading teams with accountability for the overall L&D Strategy
  • Experience partnering senor business leaders and creating training solutions to meet the business objectives
  • Thorough knowledge of L&D Processes
  • Strong business and commercial acumen
  • Relevant degree and/or CIPD qualifications
  • Flexible to travel nationwide essential; flexibility to occasionally travel internationally desirable

Head of Learning and Development Package

A basic salary of £65-72k depending on experience, car allowance of £4,800, bonus up to 20% of basic salary, life insurance 3 x salary, 25 days hliday + bank holidays
