This Flights Coordinator is an exciting role coming at a time of real growth for the Company! The role is fast-paced and works alongside the Product Manager and/or Director to manage and process seat blocks for our Company's (vast) product ranges ensuring airline ticketing is managed within the airline and our Company's guidelines.

We employ over 230 people, with the majority based at our modern, open plan Wallington, South London offices.

Your key accountabilities and responsibilities include:

  • Effective planning, sourcing and keen negotiation with a variety of airlines for new and on-going adult and student product
  • Thorough understanding of group/IT agreements with airlines
  • Fluent in the use of Amadeus in basic operating, fares and ticketing areas
  • Control all capacities between the airline and our in-house systems and manage all deadlines and releases required by all airlines
  • Handling, quoting and managing requests for upgrades and deviations with airlines and internal departments
  • Close liaison with product department to ensure smooth operation of tours
  • Reporting and working on any issues and to assist in their resolution
  • Building strong rapport with all necessary internal teams, suppliers and  tour managers 

To do this role you will need:

  • A good understanding/working knowledge of air operating procedures involved with group tours
  • To be Amadeus trained within basic operating, fares and ticketing with particular emphasis on tour operator/group fares and operations
  • Experience of working and buying within budget constraints
  • To be a team player who can build strong relationships internally and externally
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel
  • To be organised and methodical approach to their work with excellent attention to detail
  • To be a natural problem-solver, with an analytical and  proactive mind
  • The ability to work under own initiative and within tight deadlines
  • To be flexible with a commitment to quality
  • To be an effective communicator both verbally and in writing

The hours are 35 per week, Monday-Friday (9.00am-5.00pm) and based at our modern, open plan Head Office in Wallington, Sutton (South London). The contract is fixed term for 9-months (with possibility of extension)
