DESKTOP SUPPORT ENGINEER
TRAVEL MANAGEMENT, LONDON

Our client, a global travel management business, operating the luxury, mid-markets and entertainment community is looking for an experienced 2nd line Support professional to join their small, elite team of Technical Engineers in London.

As a 2nd Line Support Engineer, you will be providing both 2nd and 3rd line support to UK and EU users and Infrastructure. Whilst you'll be primarily based in the London office, you will also have the opportunity to travel to other EU sites.

This role includes a wide range of activities including implementing and optimising key functional areas, particularly network infrastructure, server infrastructure and data communications. You'll therefore need to have excellent technical knowledge of PC Hardware, Printers, Mobile Devices etc, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office 2013/2016, Active Directory administration/ maintenance experience, an understanding of TCP/IP networks, WINS, DNS and DHCP and an understanding of Antivirus management. Knowledge of Windows sever administration, Cisco, MCP /ComTIA, Security patch management, technical documentation production, remote support tools and backup and disaster recovery would be advantageous.

In addition to your excellent technical knowledge you'll possess good customer facing skills, along with a patient and polite manner. You'll have strong written skills and keen attention to detail. This is a physically demanding role, therefore you'll be comfortable lifting and moving loads of up to 20kg and be able to gain access to cabling under desks etc.
