Travel Marketing Manager - Hampshire
I am looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to join the marketing team within this very successful tour operator who are based in the East Hampshire area. Reporting to the Senior Marketing Communications Manager, you will be responsible for delivering the company's marketing strategy across the mainly offline advertising channels, including Brochure Production, Direct Mail, Advertising, Brand Partnerships and Events. This role will offer the successful candidate a very competitive salary in the region of £35000.00 plus you will be entitled to some great company benefits.
*Responsible for the management and implementation of the marketing budget and plans for your channels, to support business and marketing objectives, working with the Senior Marketing Communications Manager to define the strategic direction.
*Manage the development and execution of all print based direct marketing to support our acquisition and retention objectives, utilising customer insight and delivering timely, relevant, marketing communications.
*Work with the Customer Insight & CRM Manager to define the strategy & plan for direct mail and brochure targeting, and implement recommendations for activity based on data insight to continuously optimise & improve performance.
*Plan and manage all consumer brochure mailings and associated offline launch activity to ensure an efficient production process that meets key deadlines.
*Manage the strategic media buying of advertising space, and the production of advertising creative, in line with the brand and company objectives. This will mainly be offline channels (radio, OOH, print), but will include integrated media campaigns too - where you will work closely with the digital teams for support.
*Manage supplier relationships to keep activity optimised, to deadline and on budget.
*Manage and motivate an enthusiastic, customer-focused and target-driven team, through coaching, mentoring and product training. Ensure individuals are supported and developed to achieve their potential.
*Manage the Company's presence at events, making strategic decisions about which to attend and managing the event production process with the support of the Marketing Executive.
*Work with the Senior Marketing Communications Manager to seek out and support the delivery of joint marketing opportunities with Tourist Boards, Airline Marketing campaigns and brand partners.
*Manage the business merchandising requirements.
*Analyse and report on the results of all activities undertaken, and utilise learnings to optimise performance.
*Support the wider Marketing team with producing offline collateral where required.
*Proven experience managing the process of print production from design through to deployment, particularly for large formats such as magazines or brochures
*An ability to think strategically & plan activity based on insight
*Proactive about changing or implementing new processes and activities to improve performance
*A strong team player who drives forward a 'one team' approach within the Marketing team and wider business
*Commercially focused, with the proven ability to analyse results from activities and draw key conclusions
*Good people management skills, with proven experience to empower, inspire and develop direct reports
*Proven ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
*Demonstrates a positive attitude at all times, even when under pressure
*Good creative eye and a passion for producing beautiful, inspiring and commercially effective artwork
*Confident and competent in establishing & developing relationships with external suppliers and key stakeholders
*Excellent copy-writing skills. Ability to produce engaging & channel relevant copy
*Travel industry experience and/or strong interest in travel
*Excellent attention to detail with a strong desire for accuracy and quality. Proven skills in proof-reading and copy editing
*Experience in seeking new, and building on, partnerships with external organisations
*Experience in briefing and planning advertising campaigns across multiple channels (radio, OOH, print) and evaluating the ROI
*Experience in event management and representing a brand at events in high profile public spaces such as festivals or conferences
