Are you an experienced Travel Consultant with Galileo knowledge? Are you looking for a new challenge with travel? Has the industry of Events interested you? Would you like to combine travel and events together? If so then this is the perfect role for you!! My client is an Meetings & Events company specialising in Healthcare & event travel and they looking for an experienced travel consultant to join their offices based in North Leicester. You will be required to provide travel specific knowledge and professional advice as an integral part of the travel team. To efficiently manage all travel related elements including flight, rail and hotel, both in the office and live at events as required! This is a very RARE opportunity NOT TO BE MISSED!!!

JOB DESCRIPTION
*Research travel options for client enquiries using all internal systems
*Propose and present travel information to team and internal clients
*To book travel and accommodation arrangements for employees / clients including flights, taxi's and hotel reservations and rail in line with budgetary guidelines
*Manage and action all group travel related requests and requirements
*Manage all individual and group flight deadlines
*Liaison with internal teams and with external suppliers
*Full knowledge of supporting in-house systems, i.e. Galileo
*To attend familiarisation visits and supplier presentations
*To attend project team meetings
*To ensure relevant documents are forwarded to travellers e.g. flight confirmations
*To assist with the completion of monthly reports and that the back office system is fully updated with all booking made on a daily basis
*To manage the financial aspect of bookings in line with agreed budgets / travel policy
*Negotiate group rates and cost savings with suppliers
*Financial management of all travel documentation
*Processing and management of job related refunds
*AND MUCH MORE

EXPERIENCED REQUIRED
*Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Database systems
*Global Airline System (Galileo) - minimum of 2 years' experience
*General knowledge of Travel accounting systems
*General experience and understanding of IATA/ATOC regulations
*General knowledge of key travel suppliers, networks and products
*Worldwide geographic knowledge
*Suitable corporate travel and groups industry experience
*Industry recognized fares and ticketing certificates beneficial
*A solid understanding of both group and individual fares and rules
*An understanding of group and charter contracts, terms & conditions is beneficial

PACKAGE
The successful candidate will receive a competitive basic salary plus great company benefits!
09:00-17:30 (1 hour lunch break)
We operate a rota system between 08:30-18:00 of which candidate would work 7.5 hours (excluding lunch) during this period
