Here's a job that doesn't come across too often.

We're hugely excited to be working with this very well-known tour operator, as it looks to onboard a new general manager at its head office in London.

Charged with delivering strategy and growth within its much-loved brands, the general manager will be a thought leader, business leader, the face of the business, and a great people person with superb commercial acumen. Responsible for product, sales, customer service, marketing, technology and finance, it's a hugely varied role. Huge, and fantastic.

We've a full job description available, however here's a snippet of what the general manager does, and what they have responsibility for:

*Manage yield and pricing strategies
*Driving the operations teams, and being an industry leader in product, contacting and supplier relations
*Ensuring brand awareness through effective marketing strategies, responsible for robust sales and marketing plans
being in place
*Commercial negotiations with key suppliers
*Development of annual business plans, commercial strategies and forecasting
*Ensuring the brand is competitive in the market, both locally and internationally
*Oversee training and development programmes for all colleagues
*Making sure customers have an incredible experience before, during and after their trip

We're looking for someone who has worked in a similar role for at least 3 years, who is willing to travel overseas regularly, and, most importantly, has these key skills:

*An amazing track record in development and growing new tour operations product and markets
* A thorough understand of the tour ops life cycle
*Someone with at least 3 year
*A respected and credible people person
*A high level of creativity
