Sports Tour Group Operations Executive, London, Salary to £25k
A perfect opportunity for someone with experience in travel to progress their career as part of a growing and increasingly busy team. A diverse role, which encompasses the provision of tour group destination management services in a sporting and incentive environment, together with the creation and delivery of school sports tours, to and from the UK. Salary to £25k and based in Central London.
SportsTour Group Operations Executive Responsibilities:
To work within a small team to service client requests for accommodation, transportation and other destination management services. Communication will be made via telephone, e-mail, skype and face to face meetings.
To provide administrative support for both brands to the Senior Operations Executives, working on both inbound and outbound tours (product research, itinerary creation, costings, operations)
To make and administer hotel reservations and other destinations services (e.g. transport, restaurants, sightseeing and leisure activities) with our worldwide network of suppliers and to research new suppliers, their services, rates and availability, where required.
To become proficient using the in-house reservations system, taking an active part in training and working closely with the team to input accurate data.
To communicate effectively with clients from quote stage through to travel / service delivery, including assisting in the preparation of product presentations for new business pitches with your good knowledge of Microsoft Office in particular, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Sports Tour Group Operations Executive Requirements:
Experience of working for a Sports Tours Operator, DMC, Incentive or agency / corporate travel or event business
Proven administrative expertise with an eye for detail
Used to hitting deadlines with short lead in time - can work under pressure
A positive, flexible and organised approach to tasks
Experience of producing high quality proposals and detailed costings
Experience of Microsoft Office packages including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Knowledge of the UK, Europe and beyond
To be able to multi task whilst effectively prioritising
Good knowledge of sport (particularly, football, rugby, netball, hockey, cricket, Olympics)
Great team worker but equally adept to work independently
To have confidence in ability to make own decisions and take responsibility for this
