Are you an experienced Travel Consultant looking for a new exciting role in the Travel Industry? Are you wanting a better work life balance?? My client are a leading Tour looking for a home working travel consultant to join there busy worldwide team.
Do you have GDS skills? If so then this is the role for you!!
My client are looking for someone to have the knowledgeable on Australia and New Zealand and other Worldwide destinations. Be GDS trained, either GAL, Amadeus or Sabre.

MAIN DUTIES:
* To answer calls and ensure that service levels are maintained at all times, calls are answered within a reasonable amount of time and dealt with efficiently and professionally
* Providing general and specific advice about a range of worldwide and European travel destinations
* Ensure that sales potential is maximised on all calls by offering additional services e.g. accommodation, car hire, transfers, tours, excursions, parking, upgrades
* Meet individual targets for sales and commissions.
* Organising and costing complicated travel itineraries and ensuring that all the needs of the customers are met
* Keep an up to date knowledge of fares, checking the Company Intranet daily to see new fare deals
* Making arrangements for transport, accommodation, tours, and activities
* Using the computer database to research information about hotel accommodation fares
* Promoting monthly incentives to customers
* Performing general administration tasks
* Making amendments to bookings in GDS which include date changes, upgrades, changed routing
* Check and action Q's on a daily basis
* Keep knowledge of products and destinations sold up to date by attending training sessions, completing web based training
* To promote the sales of preferred airlines to customers

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
* Good communication skills
* Strong customer focus
* Good organisational skills
* Excellent worldwide knowledge and airline knowledge
* Strong computer and written skills
* Able to work as part of a team
* High level of personal presentation
* Able to work under pressure
