A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an accomplished travel Marketing Manager to join this luxury River Cruise Tour Operator who offer unforgettable river cruises aboard award-winning ships sailing legendary rivers to the heart of Europe, Southeast Asia and Africa.

Marketing Manager - Role and Responsibilities

  • To protect, develop and add value to the AmaWaterways brand
  • Increase brand awareness amongst the UK Travel Trade and Consumers
  • Working with Sales, Marketing & Digital Director to implement marketing priorities
  • In conjunction with Sales, Marketing & Digital Director, create and implement past guest retention programme for Trade and Consumers
  • Working proactively with US counterparts to ensure UK office has the latest marketing information
  • Ensuring they engage the end user with every marketing communication they create
  • Implement a multichannel approach for all marketing including but not exclusive to: print; direct mail; email; social; web; face to face; and sponsorship
  • Ongoing testing, measurement and reporting of all marketing activity
  • Developing Trade training through online training, webinars, presentations and collateral and through industry bodies such as CLIA
  • Briefing of creative design of promotional material; flyers, postcards, adverts, brochure etc. to external agency
  • Writing and proof reading of all promotional materials, both in print and digital
  • Proofing of travel agent marketing materials for marketing message accuracy
  • Responsibility for marketing communication calendar and commitment to meeting all marketing deadlines
  • Working closely with Commercial to ensure Commercial and Marketing departments are aligned
  • Responsibility for internal communication of marketing communication to the Sales Team, Commercial, Reservations and PR
  • Overall responsibility for all brochure and merchandise stocks
  • Ensuring marketing messages and copy are accurate in the GBP/Euro Edition of Brochures
  • Ad hoc creation and alteration of creative pieces in photoshop
  • Management and development of the consumer database
  • Awareness of competitor activity
  • Assisting with management of PR agency
  • Responsibility for maintaining accurate co.uk and .eu websites
  • Creation and management of distribution of regular eblasts to travel agents
  • Reporting and analysis of all digital channel performance on a monthly basis, suggesting areas for development and improvement
  • Development and management of their social media PR and Marketing strategy
  • Organisation of joint promotions, ship visits & events as needed
  • Ad hoc project management
  • Manage Marketing Executive, overseeing workload and developing skills and knowledge


Marketing Manager - Personal Development

  • Identifying personal development requirements and proposing how they can be achieved
  • Proposing improvements to systems, product and working practices
  • Ensuring your Manager is aware of your personal goals and assists you in achieving them
  • Contributing to Team bonding positively, confidently, cheerily and with flexibility
  • Participating in courses and familiarisation trips and present your learnings back to the Team
