Reporting to the National Sales Manager and working towards specific sales targets, the position is essentially about identifying and developing new trade business opportunities as well as servicing and growing existing key partnerships within the designated region. Though the focus will be to sell the Company's core cruise product, there may also be a requirement to sell other travel products within the Group portfolio although this will initially form a small part of the brief. Representation at major industry events and trade and consumer promotions is an essential part of this role which will also involve public speaking duties. The Business Development Manager will report directly to the National Sales Manager and ultimately to the Head of Trade Sales who oversees the department.

- Agree marketing campaigns and monitor the respective ROI.

- Represent the company at trade exhibitions, cruise shows, in-store promotions, trade roadshows and networking events etc.
- Host trade and consumer ship visits.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
A proven sales record and the ability to communicate at all levels are essential requirements and the Business Development Manager must be well presented and articulate, self-motivated and organised with the ability to prioritise and work under pressure with good time management skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft word, excel and power point applications will also be a requirement and previous sales experience within the cruise industry would be an advantage. The job will also involve some weekend and evening work.
The successful candidate will receive an induction training programme involving ship visits, working in different areas of the business; such as the reservations department and within the sales & marketing department during this period.
INTERESTED:
