Travel consultant

Travel consultant - Required to work in this luxury travel agency based in North London. They are looking for an experienced tailor made consultant and will pay between £28,000 to £32,000 + benefits for this Monday to Friday role.

Travel consultants duties
-Research various destinations and means of travel regarding prices, customs, weather conditions, reviews etc - for new client booking purposes
-Diagnose the clients' specifications and wishes and suggest suitable travel packages or services
-To provide ticketing services to internal clients in person, by email or telephone
-Organize travels from beginning to end, through booking tickets and accommodation, securing rental transportation etc.
-Handle unforeseen problems and complaints and find the best solution to ease any client concerns

Travel consultants skills required
-Proven working experience as a leisure travel consultant
-Excellent knowledge of traveling software (computer reservations systems, GDS systems and e-travel)
-Excellent Sabre skills including strong fares & ticketing knowledge (published and net fares)
-ITX fares, reissues, ticketing
-Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage
-Ability to present, persuade and communicate effectively
-Demonstrable ability to handle all clients queries and working well under pressure
-Excellent all-round travel products knowledge
-A Good sense of luxury hotel products and up market travel
-Exceptional communication & customer service skills
-Good airline fares knowledge
