We are the award-winning Newmarket Group - one of the UK's largest independently owned specialist tour operators - and are dream makers to our many customers sending them to a wide (and wonderful!) range of destinations across Europe, globally and throughout the UK.

Our modern, open plan Head Office is based in Wallington, Sutton (South London) and conveniently located next to the train station, to public transport and with plenty of free local residential parking.

The hours are 35 per week, 9-5.

The role...

... is integral to manage communications via print, direct mail and email to a wide customer database (existing and potential) and working closely with the data team to target and segment this data. It involves briefing into an in-house studio, buying fulfilment and postage to complete projects as well as reporting on performance, results and testing of communications to ensure the best possible customer journey.

What you'll be doing

  • Project manage direct mail promotions, campaigns and programmes to the customer database within agreed budgets, timescales and all relevant approvals
  • Assist with project and production management for all print and digital campaigns, promotions, programmes and brochure creation
  • Provide original marketing/email campaign copy and fast and accurate copy edits on existing documents
  • Proof all marketing materials to ensure consistency, sense and accuracy
  • Recommend data segments to create targeted and measurable promotions and email campaigns
  • Apply testing to continually review and improve all email and direct marketing materials and activities
  • Contribute to, and critique on the content, design and production of direct mail literature and other marketing materials where necessary
  • Produce broadcast and programmatic emails using the latest technology for more accurate targeting and with the aim of consistently improving response KPIs.
  • Maintain the consistency and integrity of the Newmarket logo and brand across all areas of marketing
  • Assist in running all of the Travel Agency Sales team B2C marketing including their online Social Marketing
  • General Marketing support on upcoming projects as required
  • Build relationships with key suppliers from quoting, negotiating, scheduling, briefing, production and approval of creative, to execution of promotions
  • Proactively work with internal teams to improve working practices and creative materials
  • Work collaboratively across teams and key decision makers to ensure strategic objectives are met and projects realised effectively and efficiently
