Job Details

Experienced Airfares Executive required for a leading, award-winning Travel Company. This is an exciting time to join this travel agency and tour operator as they continue their success story with further expansion due to recent commercial success. Working closely with the management team and the flights department, this role will ensure that all airfares and airline related updates are loaded, communicated and promoted correctly and effectively to maximise bookings and to minimise costs.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
*Operating fares management tool provided by Travelport, executing the company's distribution plan for our various contracted deals
*Checking airfares are loaded and carrying out regular airfare audits, requesting missing content where applicable
*Managing the individual PCCS allocated to the company, ensuring the correct/relevant content is loaded
*Managing email communications from airline partners, including fare updates, special offers, product news, fuel/tax increases/decreases
*Updating the airline section of the Intranet, ensuring content is accurate and relevant. Also posting updates on message boards and internal social media channels
*Point of contact for any GDS fare issues and queries raised by internal departments
*Updating and maintaining airfare/airline configuration settings in our back office and company facing systems
*Liaising with airline partners and the GDS where applicable to solve booking/pricing problems, whilst protecting margins
*Maintaining and managing the list of SI entries provided by airlines on certain airfares, ensuring that these are up to date in back office systems and shared folders

Key Skills Required
*Experience in a similar role desirable but not essential
*GDS trained at an advanced level (preferably Galileo)
*Familiar with fare distribution/management tools
*Extensive airfare knowledge, including seat only/corporate/IT/specialist fares
*Excellent interpersonal skills, with warm & enthusiastic manner
*Attention to detail and strong organisational skills

The Package:
Salary is dependent on experience, (within the region of £20-30k pa plus bonus) and comes with an excellent benefits package including, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, health care, pension, travel discounts.
