Do you have previous travel industry experience within a retail or tour operator background? My client, a successful independent Tour Operator based in The City of London is seeking an experienced Travel Consultant to join their small reservations team. As a Travel Consultant you will be responsible for maximising sales, providing administrative support and dealing with any after sales queries.

DUTIES:
*Maximise sales leads generated from both travel trade and direct customers, by providing excellent customer service
*Providing support to travel trade / direct customers via telephone and email
*Liaising with internal and overseas departments to provide resolutions to issues raised
*Maintaining the 'Agent File' database, including agent commissions, view-data/web passwords, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date
*Organising and administrating trade promotional events and competitions
*Participation in the day to day office tasks including, post, filing, issuing travel documentation and general administration

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
*Minimum 1 - 2 years sales experience within the travel industry
*Experience working with retail travel or tour operations
*Good sales techniques and an excellent telephone manner
*Experience working to targets
*Attention to detail and the ability work under pressure
*Proven customer service skills

THE PACKAGE:
The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of £18,500 - £20,000 plus bonuses and fantastic concessions.

HOURS:
Monday - Friday; 9am - 6pm with 1-2 Saturday's per month.
