Based in Central London and reporting to the Visa Team Manager, the Visa Consultant is responsible for the end to end visa application process, including initial advice, assisting clients with applications, creating files, co-coordinating the lodges and collects with couriers and embassies, arranging payment and dispatching documents.

The busy visa department handles applications for all countries, and processes dozens of applications every day. Clients rely on our fast turnaround, extensive experience and can-do attitude to make their travel possible, often with little time to spare.

The successful applicant will combine a proactive, root-cause approach to problem solving within the client's timescales, an ability to identify and priorities urgent applications and exceptional communication and communication skills when dealing with colleagues and customers at all levels. When required, support will be given to colleagues in reservations and groups department in clarifying visa requirements for travellers.

Meticulous attention to detail and an ability to meet deadlines are critical to this department, as is an ability to share knowledge with colleagues to enhance the team's collective skill set. The consultant will work as part of a team towards monthly targets, and be skilled in handling all stages of the application process.

Salary up to £24,000 per year plus bonus and benefits


⦁Respond to incoming calls and emails regarding new and progressing visa applications for all countries, whether physical or e-visas

⦁Provide outstanding customer service to our clients. Handle all stages of the application process, keeping clients updated with progress of their application throughout

⦁Spot errors or problems with applications, and explain clearly to clients what needs to be done to rectify

⦁Work with colleagues to achieve and exceed monthly team targets

⦁Be aware of industry news and up to the minute data on embassies

⦁Maintain accurate and current information displayed on our online visa database

⦁Work collaboratively with various business departments, forging effective relationships that enhance service.

⦁Keep abreast of industry trends and activity which will affect workload of the team, or affect how you handle a situation

⦁Share knowledge and skills effectively and maintain good communication with all colleagues.

⦁Provide feedback in team meetings and 121s, and attend quarterly business reviews

⦁Develop and build rapport wit h suppliers to expedite fast resolution of issues, escalating where appropriate

⦁Support the Visa Team Manager by assisting in any additional duties as necessary.


3+ years in a role processing visas. It is essential that you have experience in handling a wide range of visas for a wide range of embassies

⦁First hand experience of dealing with embassies, either in person, over the phone or over email.

⦁Excellent verbal and written communication, active listening and questioning skills, an exceptional telephone manner and customer focus; empathetic with users

⦁Experience in liaising with clients at varying levels

⦁Aware of industry terminology but able to translate into understandable English.

⦁Ability to learn quickly

⦁Pro-active approach to work and problem solving with excellent decision making and judgement.

⦁An analytical nature with an ability to challenge constructively, and identify new ways of working.

⦁Foreign language skills and experience in using Amadeus GDS, would be an advantage but are not essential
