Are you an experiences Sales Manager/Head of Sales within the Travel Industry and looking for your next exciting challenge?
An established Educational Tour company based in South East London are looking for a Head of Sales to drive and performance manage a team of 11+ sales agents.

Job Purpose:

*Lead the Sales team ensuring they are equipped to meet team and individual KPI's;
*Contribute to divisional strategy, process optimisation and budgets;
*Participate in the development and implementation of divisional policies;
*Direct and coordinate sales activities in order to meet business growth and profitability objectives.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Sales
*Work closely with Head of Operations and Client Care to ensure smooth running of the business
*Plan, develop and implement sales strategies, incorporating annual sales and commercial plans
*Set and manage individual/team goals and KPIs
*Weekly/monthly updates to the sales team on performance (brand, individual, conversion etc.)
*Work closely with marketing to agree future marketing initiatives to increase enquiries
*Work closely with Head of Partnerships to explore initiatives to increase university business

People Management
*Performance management of sales team including sickness
*Effectively manage individual and team performance for sales both office based and remote schools/universities/incoming team
*Coach team members to develop outstanding performance
*Identify, develop and implement training and development needs in order to establish and retain a high-performing sales team
*Recruitment for sales
*Develop and manage induction programme for new team members
*Weekly 121's with sales team individuals, time to be spent off site with the remote team as required
*Weekly sales team meeting
*Take responsibility for own personal development and training

Reports
*Report on progress against objectives via agreed key performance metrics
*Contribute to the monthly board report by providing accurate sales information in a timely manner
*Commission checks and submission to payroll


Person Specification:

*Significant experience of sales in a tour operating capacity
*Experience of developing and implementing sales plans
*Experience of setting sales goals and quotas
*Experience of leading and managing high performing sales teams including evidence to support sales performance
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills
*Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders
*Excellent presentation skills
*Strong market analysis skills
*Motivated to exceed targets
*Leads by example, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, commitment and drive
*Adopts a collaborative approach to working
*Adopts a mentoring approach to performance management
