Team Management

  • Management of the travel team (London & New York), ensuring they are abiding by processes and providing a streamline and quality service
  • Management of Travel Managers to drive client retention, profitability and growth of divison
  • Training team members on processes and best practices
  • Conducting regular performance reviews and reporting back to Senior Management with feedback
  • Recruitment and training processes for new team members to ensure that company vision and ethos is fulfilled

Strategy & Business Management

  • Working with Senior Management on budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting
  • Working with the teams to ensure current contracts and clients are all being explored for further business growth
  • Managing with senior management for any issues, complaints or problem solving on behalf of your team
  • Working with senior management to sign off on all fees and contracts for new business
  • Time management of your own role to ensure results and growth globally for new business
  • Business plan input showcasing current client opportunities, new opportunities, potential risks, process development to assist with division strategy to execute company growth plan

Skills and attributes

  • Ideally a minimum of 5 years travel industry experience, preferably within a business or event travel
  • environment
  • Proven knowledge of a GDS is a must (Ideally Galileo)
  • Proven knowledge and experience on travel programmes
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently with confidence, or as part of a team
  • Ability to competently take meetings and pitch to clients
  • Strong managerial skills and experience in leading and developing a team
  • Highly organised, ability to prioritise and multi task especially when under pressure
  • Sales experience
  • High care of duty to both clients and team members and a willingness to go the extra mile for both
  • Fluency in English is essential and proficiency in other languages is highly desirable

You will be required to provide/partake in

  • Detailed weekly reports
  • Attend weekly forecast meetings
  • Bi-weekly meetings with Senior Management
  • Travel when required to New York
