Position :   Ticketing Consultant  

Department:   UK Customer Contact Centre – Flight Desk 

Location:    Amersham 

Hours:     Full Time 

Reports to:   Flight Desk Team Leader  


Our Flight Desk plays a very important role in the customer journey.  This role will assist with the ticketing and administration requirements of our clients and the team. This is an office based role, for a candidate who likes variety, has a good eye for detail, the ability to multi-task, prioritise as well as work to strict deadlines.  


Key responsibilities 


 Issue flights using GDS and other ticketing portals – Sabre knowledge preferable  

 Calculating and quoting fares  

 Monitor and update the airline queues  

 Managing/Archiving ticket and fare sheets  

 Assist Reservations with flight request  

 Liaising with airlines  


Competencies Required 


 Effective organizational and time management skills 

 A high level of accuracy and detail orientated 

 Meet deadline and work calmly under pressure 

 Be able to multi task and prioritise  

 Be able to organise and plan time efficiently 

 Be self motivated combined with the ability to work as part of a team 

 Proficient in Excel and Word 

 Previous knowledge of a GDS 


Preferable knowledge 


 Demonstrate a working knowledge of the issuing of all fare types 

 Previous ticketing experience using a major GDS ideally Sabre 

 Knowledge of IT rates, Fare builds, CAT35 and published fares
