Macs Adventure  provides transformative active travel experiences for independently minded people interested in the world around them. We employ over 100 adventurous, fun, personal, active people who give a shit, across the UK, US and Germany. Our mission is to be the World’s leading active travel company, be a great place to work, deliver outstanding customer experiences, make an impact and be profitable.

We are currently seeking a Head of Customers to create and lead the customer strategy and delivery across our international business to ensure that sales, profitability, customer experience and business goals are achieved. This is a director level role responsible for the sales, customer service and operations functions. Working alongside Chief Adventure Officer, Neil Lapping and the other talented members of the Macs team you will make a meaningful contribution to the success of the business.

As a fast-growing international business, the success of Macs Adventure is driven by great customer experience throughout the sales cycle. Through your dedicated team in the UK, US and Germany, you will enable us to connect more customers with authentic, transformative travel experiences.

We are looking for an experienced and driven sales and customer success expert with proven leadership, sales, operational and customer service skills, ideally in a tour operator, travel, or B2C ecommerce environment. A track record of leading and delivering multi-layered sales campaigns in partnership with marketing, and great customer experience in transactional customer facing or travel businesses that have delivered high growth is essential.

Your strengths will centre around your ability to thrive in an environment that nurtures a resilient pro-active approach. Equally at home developing an innovative sales and customer experience strategy as dealing with more operational matters, you will understand the requirements of working to fluid and changing priorities, working with your team proactively to ensure Macs makes the most of all sales opportunities and that our approach to customer experience can be supported. You should have a strong digital background and a track record of implementing process and system change that delivers results for the team, customers and business.

Macs Adventure is a great place to work, with an engaged group of staff, and excellent work environment and regular opportunities for fun. We have high expectations of our team, and in return we give back to make sure you can do your job well, and enjoy yourself while you’re at it. We want our staff to be adventurous, active, be personal and have fun. We are looking for passionate individuals with ambition to share our vision and passion for creating a business that connects people with transformative active travel experiences across the world.

Some of the things you can expect when you join our team:

  • An award-winning office in central Glasgow.
  • Regular international travel.
  • A day off on your birthday!
  • Great discounts on Macs Adventure trips.
  • Unlimited fresh coffee, tea, hot chocolate and fruit.
  • Opportunity to participate in tax efficient benefits such as a cycle scheme and childcare vouchers
  • Salary: Competitive salary plus performance related bonus.
  • Learning and development opportunities
