Commercial Aviation Manager

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join an award-winning global tour operator in Central London as their Commercial Aviation Manager. The purpose of this role is to maximise commercial opportunities from strong relationships with airlines and to ensure sales growth is generated from airline-based marketing campaigns. Reporting to the Head of Product, leading a team of two, this opportunity if the most senior aviation role within the business and will be responsible for all matters relating to aviation in the U.K

Commercial Aviation Manager responsibilities:

  • Managing, developing and strengthening airline relationships
  • Negotiating fares and terms
  • Recommending promotions based on airline deals
  • Managing and developing existing marketing campaigns
  • Implementing product aspects of promotional campaigns
  • Monitoring and analysing promotional campaigns
  • Monitoring, recommending and implementing changes to flight allowances
  • Managing relationships with GDS provider (Amadeus)
  • Managing the aviation team (2 members) who are responsible for ticketing, schedule changes, producing flight allowance and assisting with flight booking issues.
  • Maximising the scope and profitability of airline-based opportunities, in particular looking to build online sales.

Commercial Aviation Manager Skills Required:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working in a similar role
  • Strong relationships with airlines
  • Excellent commercial, analytical and numeracy skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • GDS experience (Amadeus desirable)
  • Superb communication skills.
