Do you want to spend all day making people's dreams become a reality? We are looking for passionate travel consultants or enthusiasts who have extensively travelled around Canada and the USA and who would love to spend all day creating bespoke, tailor-made itineraries exploring some of the countries most famous sites. Whether that is a scenic trip through the Rocky Mountains or an adrenaline fuelled experience free-falling in to the Grand Canyon on a giant swing, you will have the knowledge and experience to tailor any enquiry to exceed your clients expectations. The ideal candidate will be experienced in selling tailor-made long haul holidays and / or have a real passion for Canada or the USA. If you have previously worked in retail travel and are now looking for progression or have extensively are currently working in tour operations but want a specialist role this could be the ideal job for you!

Selling tailor-made holidays, tours and flights, via telephone and email. All of the enquiries will be for Canada & The USA, and with many of the enquiries / Bookings being for multi-centres and tours, direct customers and Agents. Candidates living in Glasgow and the surrounding area are in good locations, for this role.

Responsibilities include:
-Create detailed itineraries to customer's exact requirements via the telephone and email
-Source ground arrangements with overseas supplier.
-Using your travel industry experience and solid destination / product knowledge to assist you in advising your clients on their options.
-Delivering excellent levels of customer service, maintaining the strong reputation of this travel company.
-Achieve outbound up-sell call target for ancillary sales.
-Service existing bookings as required including, but not limited to, carrying out amendments, providing information on relevant charges, confirm bookings and adding additional content
-Using GDS, daily.
-Working shifts on a rota basis, you must be flexible to work between the hours of 08.30 -21.00 Monday - Friday & 0900.00 -18.00 Sat- Sun

This is an excellent position working for an established and growing, Specialist Travel company in Glasgow. Previous travel experience is preferred but not essential, If have worked in either retail travel or tour operations, or have excellent destination knowledge and have the passion and experience to create long lasting and memorable experiences for your clients we want to hear from you.
