We have a brand new, field-based, Business Development Manager role with a market leading Travel Technology company based in Altrincham. A dual role, the position involves account managing a portfolio of clients to ensure customer retention and satisfaction, whilst also seeking out new business opportunities, ensuring optimal conversion and contributing proactively to new business objectives. 

The successful candidate will have experience within a similar business development role, a proven B2B sales track record and strong commercial awareness of the corporate travel sector as well as excellent account management and relationship-building skills. In return, our client is offering a competitive basic salary of £25k plus uncapped commission and excellent company and industry benefits.

Role of Business Development Manager:

  • Ensure customer satisfaction through effective account management practices
  • Build enduring relationships, ensuring engagement at all levels
  • Seek out new business opportunities, including outside of the UK
  • Meet and exceed new business targets, ensuring optimal conversion of new business leads
  • Keep up to date with travel industry news, market intelligence and competitor activity
  • Ensure excellent client retention with minimal contract losses and growth in transaction numbers

Skills required for the role:

  • Previous experience in a similar Business Development role and a proven B2B sales track record
  • Account management and networking skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
  • Commercially aware, confident and tenacious
  • Ambitious and willing to learn new products and techniques
  • Ability to identify sales opportunities and proactively generate leads
