Job Details

Marketing Executive required for a Surrey based tour operator, this role is an integral part of a multi-channel marketing team, managing frequent communications via print, direct mail and email to a wide database of customers (existing and potential) and working closely with the data team to target and segment this data. It involves briefing into an in-house studio and buying fulfilment and postage to complete projects. Reporting on performance, results and testing of communications, alongside ensuring the best possible customer journey, are key in this role.

THE JOB:
*Project manage direct mail promotions, campaigns and programmes to the customer database within agreed budgets, timescales and all relevant approvals
*Assist with project and production management for all print and digital campaigns, promotions, programmes and brochure creation
*Provide original copy for marketing and email campaigns whilst providing fast and accurate copy edits on existing documents
*Proof all marketing materials to ensure consistency, sense and accuracy
*Recommend data segments to create targeted and measurable promotions and email campaigns
*Apply testing where applicable to continually review and improve all email and direct marketing materials and activities
*Contribute to, and critique on the content, design and production of direct mail literature and other marketing materials where necessary
*Produce broadcast and programmatic emails using the latest technology for more accurate targeting and with the aim of consistently improving response KPIs.
*Assist in maintaining the consistency and integrity of the company logo and brand across all areas of marketing
*Assist in running all of the B2C marketing required by the Travel Agency Sales team including their online Social Marketing
*General Marketing support on upcoming projects as required
*Build relationships with key suppliers from quoting, negotiating, scheduling, briefing, production and approval of creative, to execution of promotions
*Proactively work with internal teams to improve working practices and creative materials
*Work collaboratively across teams and key decision makers to ensure strategic objectives are met and projects realised effectively and efficiently

*Experienced in direct marketing and email and am keen and enthusiastic to learn more
*Keen to develop my skills in direct mail/postage creation and buying processes - formats, methods, pricing
*Understand data segmentation
*Understand HTML/CSS
*Able to work to processes to complete brochures
*Able to copy-edit marketing and sales copy
*Organised and able to work to deadlines
*Able to work quickly (but without mistakes)
*Able to work in a fast paced environment, cope under pressure and work flexibly to adapt to changing priorities as demands dictate
*Able to manage many projects at the same time, whilst responding quickly to urgent requests
*Great attention to detail with excellent proof-reading skills
*Independent - able to get on with the role with minimal direction at times
*Able to flag issues and problems and look for solutions
*Personable with the ability to communicate appropriately and effectively at all levels
*Passionate about travel

THE PACKAGE:
The successful candidate can expect a very competitive salary in the region of £27000 - £28000 plus you would be entitled to some great company benefits! This role is initially a temporary position with a view to become permanent.
