Job Details
The role oversees the day-to-day operations, ensuring that the client and supplier relationship is optimised, promoting the Group's commercial activity with a view to generating sustainable growth in revenues and profit. You will be required to:
*Set the vision, position the team and plan for over-achievement.
*Provide leadership and management of the operational departments - namely Tour Operator Partnerships including systems and support, Travel Agent Partnerships and Commercial.
*Articulate and intertwine our 'Customs' to ensure what we do is aligned to how we think.
*Champion change and innovation within the products, processes and services we provide.
*Develop and maintain strong working relationships with our airline partners and key customers.
*Establish a 'wow' approach so that all our customers love us.
*Monitor and control all operational budgets to ensure that the company has all the resources required to meet and exceed its objectives.
*Ensure that company operations comply with all legal requirements and meet agreed operational standards.
*Look ahead and manage risk in relation to the businesses' structure by providing for effective management succession for all internal operations.
*Maintain an effective working relationship with all other Heads of Department to ensure that there is effective co-ordination of all company activities and a culture of cooperation, communication and teamwork.
*Act as the main adviser on all issues relating to operational functions and keep abreast of latest developments to ensure that the business maintains its competitive position.
*Lead from the front by demonstrating professional expertise across the business and to our customers.
*Have an appetite for 'getting hands dirty' with the team - achieving a balance of maintaining a strategic perspective as well as getting into the detail where appropriate.
Core Skills, knowledge and experience in:
*Performing at the highest levels of success and quality.
*Commercial acumen.
*Extensive experience in operations management.
*Significant experience of the airline & travel industry.
*People management skills including motivation, mentoring and development of key staff.
*Strong leadership skills, with the ability to facilitate team work
*Project management, change management and conflict resolution.
*Resource planning.

You will be passionate, visionary, creative, innovative and a leader with experience in travel/aviation and operations management.
