Are you an experienced Events Manager and looking for your next exciting challenge?
Are you based in Kent and looking to get away from that long London commute? I have the role for you!!!

An award-winning Leisure/Business Travel & Events company based out in Kent are look for an Events Manager to join their Events department.

Purpose of Role:

*Managing a variety of Industry Events/Conferences
*Simplify the whole process, from understanding the brief, creating a project plan, budgeting and reporting, through to the final touches
*Managing all travel, transfer, conference facilities, room set up, audio visual equipment etc
*Travelling to Events/Conference sites (pre and during Event)
*Negotiate competitive rates for inspirational venues, accommodation, travel and entertainment, both in the UK and overseas.

Personal Experience and Attributes:
*2+ years working as an Events Manager
*Experience working on large scale events (500+ people)
*Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
*You demonstrate excellent organizational and relationship building skills
*You have fantastic attention to detail
*You are great at communicating effectively - both verbally and in writing
*You demonstrate strong destination knowledge
*You are professional in your approach and will always represent the Company brand well
*You are flexible in your approach to working - in the variety of work you do, in relation to supporting your colleagues and in terms of the hours you are prepared to work when required across events
*You have a proactive approach - you are calm under pressure and have a 'common sense' approach to problem solving
*You are able to travel with clients as required by the business (sometimes at short notice) and to work across weekends and evenings if required
*You have proven experience of working to deadlines and of being accountable
*You are extremely IT savvy - you are competent in using the full range of Microsoft Office products (including PowerPoint, Excel and Word), online meeting tools (E.g. Teams and Slack) as well as web-based sharing tools (E.g. Google Docs)
*You are career focused with ambitions to further develop your career in groups and events
