Experience West Sussex Partnership is a new tourism partnership that has been created to deliver collective value through leadership, inspiration and collaboration for the benefit of West Sussex’s visitor economy. The partnership has been core funded until 2022 by West Sussex County Council and the district and boroughs across the county. The Partnership strategy and delivery is governed by the EWSP board.

The opportunity:

Experience West Sussex Partnership is seeking a person, with destination development experience, to join a forward thinking tourism development team. The Experience West Sussex Partnership champions the West Sussex visitor economy, is committed to creating a vibrant and world class visitor destination and one that helps tourism businesses thrive.

Experience West Sussex Partnership team deliver a creative marketing programme, across different channels alongside innovative destination development initiatives. We are seeking someone with enthusiasm, creativity and commitment to help us with us delivering the EWSP annual action plans. The position will report to the Experience West Sussex Partnership Manager. The Partnership is governed by the EWSP board.

The job will be involved in a broad range of EWSP activities to support the delivery of the annual Partnership Action plan. Specifically, you will work on various projects and initiatives ranging from; agency management of the destination marketing programme; product and segment development projects; research projects and running a business support programme for local tourism providers. The role will also manage the performance management framework for the programme. The role will involve some travel, mainly within the county.

What you need to succeed:

The successful candidate will have a `can do` approach and attitude, be able to work well with colleagues and partners, and have well developed project management skills. Experience of tourism destination marketing and development programmes are required, with knowledge of West Sussex as a visitor destination highly desirable.
