Business Development Manager - Luxury Cruise Tour Operator (South East and East Midlands)

Up to £35k plus car allowance

This luxury Cruise company are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join them to look after the South East and East Midlands

Business Development Manager - Luxury Cruise Tour Operator (South East and East Midlands) - Role and Responsiblities

  • First and foremost, maximise and increase sales revenue in your territory
  • Implement the company sales strategy for your region
  • Achieve pre-determined sales targets for your territory
  • Develop and maintain relationships with travel agents and select tour operators through regular face-to-face visits
  • Support the National Sales Manager and Sales, Marketing & Digital Director in servicing key accounts by way of agent training and attendance (when required) at trade and consumer events
  • Assist National Sales Manager, Sales, Marketing & Digital Director in identifying any new business development channels in your region, where opportune
  • Manage your pre-allocated sales & marketing budget to maximise the return on investment for those agencies for which you are accountable
  • Attend quarterly sales meetings
  • Participate in regular Sales Team telephone calls
  • Participate in promoting team spirit and camaraderie within the Sales Team
  • Exchange ideas with the other Business Development Mangers and National Sales Manager regarding effective sales promotions for Marketing Team to communicate
  • Work closely with Agency Support / Commercial to ensure agent data is maintained accurately at central level
  • Regularly suggest innovative and effective ways of communicating and engaging with the travel trade
  • Provide content for Marketing Team to use on social media
  • Weekly reporting to National Sales Manager on key accounts, competitor information, general trading conditions, ideas, challenges and triumphs
  • Provide quarterly call plan
  • Attend cruise industry events as necessary to help raise the company profile.
  • Host and attend ship visits and familiarisation trips overseas
  • Host and attend client/travel agent functions
  • Attend trade and consumer shows and cruise industry events as necessary
