Job Details

Out of Hours Business Travel Manager required for an award -winning provider of innovative and cost effective travel management solutions to the corporate market. A great new opportunity has arisen to join an established business travel company, working from home as Business Travel Manager for their Out Of Hours team!. You will be responsible for the recruitment, retention, engagement and development of a 'virtual' team of out of hours Business Travel Consultants that are based from home. Working Monday to Friday you and your team will be on hand to provide around-the-clock expert service to your global clients on the move.

Key Responsibilities
*To lead the team in line with company values ensuring a highly engaged, positive team measured through annual staff survey
*Continual focus on operational efficiency, process improvement and automation
*Conduct regular 121s with team members; provide regular feedback and coaching on performance, creating detailed Personal Development Plans through solution- driven discussions
*Working one day per month in the office to attend meeting and 121's
*Manage the day to day operation of Out of Hours Monitoring and managing Operations in line with budget
*Booking all travel requirements for a wide variety of business travellers
*Reacting to quickly and effectively to help traveller's on the move - this could be in the case of disruption due to weather issues, flight cancellations, emergencies or simply a change of plan
*Handling amendments, cancellations and schedule changes
*Working nights
*Answering calls and emails from clients in a polite, efficient and professional manner
*Offering expert advice in all aspects of travel
*Work as part of an efficient team, communicating effectively both internally and externally
*Creation and provision of traveller tracking reports for communication to clients in the event of a major event.
*Continuous improvement of all systems and processes and ensure a consistent high-quality level of customer service is delivered across the teams working closely with the Account Management Team and Team Leaders

Experience Required
*Performance management experience
*Previous experience of working Out Of Hours
*Knowledgeable on a GDS ideally Sabre
*Fares & Ticketing Level 1 & 2 (or equivalent experience) essential
*Knowledge of Microsoft products, including Outlook, Word and Excel
*Possess good geographical and product knowledge of destinations and airlines
*On the pulse with world events and likely travel implications
*Good organisational skills and excellent customer service & communicative abilities are essential
*Flexible approach and desire to think 'outside of the box' to provide innovative travel solutions in times of increased stress for our clients
*You will have experience of working within an out of hours role previously or currently meaning you will be able to join this fantastic company and hit the ground running!
