Group and Events Travel Consultant

Groups and Events Travel Consultant - required for successful corporate travel firm based in Berkshire. The client is looking for an experienced group travel consultant who is keen to add new ideas and a positive mindset to a well rounded and social team. The successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive starting salary of £28-32k and excellent employee perks.

Groups and Events Travel Consultant responsibilities

• Booking group and individual reservations, ensuring accuracy and detail at all times
• Consistently maintaining strong rapport with suppliers, enabling the best fares to be negotiated
• Controlling costings and taking responsibility for these
• Key contact point for internal and external clients
• Ensuring high levels of customer service are maintained with all clients and suppliers

Groups and Events Travel Consultant requirements

• Strong background in the business travel sector, ideally with groups
• Excellent fare and ticketing knowledge
• Experience working with Sabre GDS
• Proficient user of Microsoft Excel
• Wide knowledge of air travel industry, desirable to have industry contacts
• Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
• Outstanding workload management ability, successful multitasking and prioritisation will be key to succeeding in the role
• Strong team player
