Senior Asia Product Executive
I am excited to be recruiting for a Senior Asia Product & Commercial Specialist, this exciting new position would be working within an expert led specialist team who are based in Surrey. As the Senior Asia Product & Commercial Executive you will ensure that a pre-agreed strategy for growing tailor-made business is effectively implemented. This role is responsible for helping develop product, contracting, negotiating contribution, sourcing offers and creating product content. This role requires someone who is personable who has a natural flair for relationship building with a focus on identifying experiences that transform the quality of the customers' holidays by thinking creatively about what makes a great travel experience. Acting as a liaison point between suppliers, central functions and the internal teams, this role requires both an all-round understanding of the main influencing factors on product saleability, along with excellent commercial knowledge, plus good communication and collaboration skills.
Product definition & sourcing
*Ensure UK market and target customer base (existing database and potential future customer opportunities) are well understood and used to drive product and pricing strategy and subsequent implementation
*Support contracting activities through direct suppliers; including creation of bed briefs and/ or negotiation with bed bank operators and destination management companies
*Manage relationships with key suppliers, partners and frontline sales
*Negotiate with suppliers to deliver commercial and product strategy objective
*Provide feedback on market opportunities
*Assist with digital content and provide feedback on style and content, input into destination and product content
* Create content online, in marketing collateral, for use in sales tools and customer documents) reflects the product line strategy
*Liaise with brand marketing team to ensure that the content is appropriately edited to meet the brand tone of voice and look and feel requirements
*Help manage operational performance of product line
*Ensure commercial and timely handling of internal and external queries
*Provide specialist product knowledge and advice to direct customer facing teams:
*Actively contribute to improving commercial support to achieve sales targets:
*Team management of set up/ sales support function, including
*A passion for sourcing great travel experiences
*Destination expertise with strong customer focus
*Excellent negotiation, communication and collaboration skills.
*Commercial acumen, able to assess data, draw conclusions and propose actions based on detailed analysis, including appropriate pricing approaches
*All-round understanding of the factors influencing product saleability in the tailor-made market
*Excellent all-round knowledge of the travel marketplace, competitors and current trends
*Experience of line management responsibility of a data set up/ sales support team
*First hand travel experience in region of responsibility
*Experience of working in a small, multi-functional team
*Ability to present confidently to groups and individuals
