Job Details

Ticketing Manager – Sabre (Mon-Fri).   A career enhancing Ticketing Manager opportunity has just become available for an ambitious and hungry Sabre proficient Ticketing Executive / Ticketing Manager to join a luxury tour operator in London. The Ticketing role will play a fundamental part in the company’s growth by supporting the specialist Travel Consultants and working closely with the Directors to continuously review and enhance the service levels, communication procedures and channels within the Ticketing department.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist Sales & other department Teams with airfare & ticketing queries such as calculation & re-calculation of air fares & taxes, refunds & fare rule clarification
  • Liaise with all major airlines to resolve contract queries & other airline & fare related issues, including the correct filing of fares & contracts in GDS
  • Continuously review and enhance communication procedures and channels to ensure proper delivery of relevant information to agents and support teams
  • Supporting Travel Consultants with ITX fares, reissues, ticketing and in-house training
  • Distribution and action of GDS ticketing queues, and update system and assist the sales team as required with any issues arising from changes to their bookings
  • To work closely with Rate Desk to build related skillsets, with a view to ultimately assisting the team with other TLUK fare enquiries
  • To help promote and integrate Rate Desk with Travel Consultants so that they refer specified booking types to be fare-checked
  • To investigate and also dispute any ADMs should an airline send an ADM in error, or inaccurately
  • To provide an excellent quality of service
  • Deal with miscellaneous Ticketing and Processing Requests
  • Evaluate and escalate issues to other IT and Operational teams as necessary
  • Run monthly reports and process open tickets refunds
  • To process all refunds and exchanges

Skills Required:

  • Sabre ticketing experience essential
  • Understanding fare constructions
  • Ability to accurately calculate fares for refund and re-issues
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes
  • Experience of net fare management would be beneficial
  • Organised, accurate and able to maximise business opportunities
  • Basic admin skills, Excel will be good (to be able to filter reports etc)

Our client offers an excellent working environment along with fantastic career developing opportunities!  An excellent remuneration package is on offer, where the basic salary is up to £35,000 per annum + benefits including 20 days’ annual leave + bank holidays, with the opportunity of travelling overseas on Fam Trips.
