A large trusted Travel Brand based in London (SE) have an exciting opportunity for a Membership and Financial Protection Support Officer to join their team of 7.
We're looking for someone who is able to provide support to Members and customers in relation to all aspects of the work of the Financial Protection, Membership, Risk and Claims Departments and to ensure all duties are carried out and to support the Manager, Membership, Risk & Financial Protection.


*To understand Members and applicant's business models and to deal with enquiries from Members and customers.
*To assist in the processing of applications in accordance with Articles of Association, Code of Conduct, Financial Criteria and Department procedures for:

New Membership
Change of Control
New Branch Office
Commencement of Retail Activity
Outside Sales Representatives (OSR's)

*To ensure invoices are raised for the fee based applications, to ensure payments are received and banked via the Finance Department.
*To work with the Finance Department to maintain data in SAP and to maintain records of our Members in respect of Direct Debits.
*To liaise with Members to ensure accurate data of membership records on the databases and processing any changes to those records. Changes includes branch office closures, resignations, terminations, financial failure, change of legal name, trading names, websites and contact information etc.
*To carry out membership checks, for example changes to Member's ownership and directorships details. To ensure the relevant documentation is provided and carry out Business credit checks and Identity checks.
*To be responsible for checking pending documents daily and chasing applicants/members, if necessary, for relevant information.
*To assist in the monitoring of Members Tour Operator liability insurance policies.
*To assist in dealing with all aspects of the administration involved with the Single Payment Scheme.
*To assist with the day to day administration of financial protection bonds and financial failure insurance policies.
*To assist with the day to day administration of quarterly retail and non-licensable returns.
*To assist with ensuring all Member correspondence is sent out on time, in accordance with procedures.
*To ensure changes to members' records are circulated daily

Knowledge, skills or experience:

*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
*Has excellent IT skills and experience in products such as Microsoft Office's Word, Excel and Outlook.
*Has good computer keyboard skills
*Demonstrate excellent customer care skills
*Demonstrate excellent telephone manner
*Has an ability to organise self and tasks well
*Is able to work as part of a team
*Has an ability to work within given deadlines and quality measurements
*Able to deal with enquiries from internal and external stakeholders competently

Successful candidate:

The successful candidate, will be down to earth with a can do attitude, they will have excellent organisational skills, preferably worked within a Membership organisation, where they understand the importance of following rules and regulations, strong IT skills, an excellent team player with strong stakeholder relationship management skills and who can hit the ground running and work independently.

The salary for this position is up to £26,000-28,000 per annum plus company benefits.
