THE JOB
We are looking for an experienced, backend web developer to join the growing technology team within a leading holiday specialist in Maidstone. In this varied role, you'll take your enthusiasm for technology and apply it to the development, management and improvement of numerous APIs, using Java (Spring framework) and SQL server. You will also be involved in the development and ongoing support of the reservation system, developing new functionality and supporting the existing application, as well as working with 3rd parties to support new integrations. Our client prides themselves on their homegrown technology and the successful candidate will be mission-critical to their continued success in this area.

WHAT EXPERIENCE DO I NEED?
*Educated to degree level in a related technical subject
*Experience of working with SOAP and/or RESTful protocols
*Proficient in designing and maintaining xsd files
*Experience of working with data in XML and JSON
*Proficiency in Java, Spring MVC, MS SQL
*Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript/JQery
*Previous experience with Jenkins, SVN and Jira
*Previous experience of working in Agile development teams
*Proficiency with physical and logical database design and an understanding of the development lifecycle
