Far East tailor-made specialist

Do you have experience in building tailor-made trips to Asia/Far East? Have you travelled the Far East extensively? My client is a tour operator who requires a Far East Specialist with direct experience of this fantastic region.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Take sales calls and emails from potential customers who have enquired about a trip to your area of expertise. Provide personalised and bespoke recommendations based on your customer's needs.
*Load all initial sales calls & emails accurately in to the system - to ensure that names / addresses / email addresses and details of the trip which have been discussed are accurately recorded.
*Ensure that personalised quotations are provided to the customer over the phone and each enquiry is followed up with a written quotation.
*Ensure that you stay on top of airline and supplier special offers and preferred commercial partners when providing quotations to customers.
*Meet and where ever possible exceed conversion, profit and margin targets.
*Take appropriate opportunities to up sell and to add excursions, transfers, car rental, airport parking and lounge passes.
*Ensure that all quotations are followed up on within 24 hours and sales techniques are employed to close the sale.
*Demonstrate a total commitment to excellent customer service and take full ownership for the quality and accuracy of your customer's booking.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
* Sales orientated and motivated with relevant sales experience within the travel industry
* Strong geographical and product knowledge of Far East/Asia.
* Experience of tailor making itineraries to South America.
* A methodical approach with particular attention to detail.
* Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.
* The ability to prioritise workload, demonstrating good organisational skills.
* Working knowledge of a GDS

THE PACKAGE:
The successful candidate will receive a competitive basic salary of £24-27k (DOE) with a fantastic commission structure.
