Travel Business Development Manager, London, Salary to £35k plus Bonus, Benefits and Car

We have a fantastic on the road sales role joining this travel group at a very exciting time. You, as Business Development Manager, would work within the really friendly Business Development Team for this travel client. The whole team works very closely together, despite all being on the road and working from home. They are also tightly connected with the whole business, their partners and business partners.
The overall purpose of your job is to support partners and help them grow their business and profits, through understanding how they operate and helping them make positive business choices. You will also be required to recruit new partners by handling new member enquiries, proactively approaching agents and new business start-ups, organise meetings for all promising leads and finally converting leads to membership opportunities.

Travel Business Development Manager Responsibilities:

Identify key clients to work with and develop a strategy to engage, assess the relevancy of the product and maximise selling opportunities
Engage members to setup up initial discussions and assess appetite for implementation
Develop an effective training and implementation plan to ensure consistency of training and thoroughness
Ensure a thorough feedback process is in place to help the central team identify any specific development opportunities
Deliver relevant training
Track results of training and feedback sales to member owner and assess the next steps for the member
Plan any follow-up meetings to ensure system is fully embedded in the clients business and that the product is being used throughout the business
Ensure the business development team are fully engaged in the system and are aware of the members who are being trained
Identify key client supporters to use as case studies to aid recruitment and increase sales.

Travel Business Development Manager Requirements:

Successfully delivering against high targets in a similar environment
Building relationships with business partners/suppliers by phone/email/face to face
Able to comfortably liaise with business members and address their needs
Working with the leisure travel sector
Have extensive experience of gaining new business and client relations
Keeping up to date with all the industry challenges
A natural and easy communicator
Knowledgeable and aware of the business & products
Commercially aware
Able to work independently with a level of autonomy
An excellent problem solver and decision maker
Full of direction and purpose
An excellent planner and organiser
A natural influencer and negotiator
