Are you an experienced Travel Industry Sales Team Leader, looking for your next exciting challenge?

We have a great opportunity for a highly motivated, target driven individual to join a luxury travel company based not far from London Bridge train station.

What we are looking for:

An experienced Sales Team Leader to manage the sales team on a day to day basis and to sell luxury villa holidays. In conjunction with the Sales and Operations Manager your role is to lead and direct the Sales Team to achieve consistently high sales figures and obtain excellent records in call quality, sales delivery and customer service. You will be the daily 'go to' person in the Sales Team, sending out target reminders, incentives, holding meetings and training staff along with call and email monitoring ensuring that the company ethos of standing out from the crowd is apparent in all contact with potential and existing customers. In addition to managerial duties, you will be expected to take and process bookings for the company and lead by example on the sales floor.

Key Role Responsibilities:

*Strategic and day-to-day leadership of the sales team, ensuring that sales targets are hit or exceeded.
*Work with the Sales and Operations Manager to designate team and individual targets where necessary.
*Proactively developing and implementing plans to deliver company, team and personal targets by developing sales strategy, testing new ideas and sharing best practice.
*Liaise with the Sales and Operations Manager to compile and communicate incentives to encourage upsell and peripheral product sales.
*Answer incoming telephone calls; in addition to handling web generated, direct and other written enquiries from potential or existing customers relating to new and existing bookings.
*Perform regular team sales training sessions to continually improve and develop selling skills and to ensure knowledge of th product is kept up-to-date.
*To arrange, participate in and lead team meetings as required in order to encourage agents to learn new sales techniques and achieve planned sales goals.
*Report on weekly and monthly sales figures in comparison to previous weeks, years, months and targets.
*Report on conversion rates per team member.
*To ensure that all team members are clear on the rules for commission and comply with them.
*Be an active and positive sales coach to all team members.
*Regularly monitor sales calls and emails in order to provide tips and coaching to team members.
*Consult with the sales team to provide constructive feedback to the product and marketing departments to ensure that our product and the way that we market it is reflecting our clients' expectations.
*In the absence of the Sales and Operations manager, make decisions regarding any required discounts for customers.
*Log and report on the number of incoming enquiries per team member and per destination.
*Achieve and constantly strive to beat monthly incentive sales targets both personally and through team motivation, support and training.
*Maximise revenue potential by up-selling on all bookings and identify opportunities for additional product sales.
*To assist in arranging familiarisation trips.
*Adapt quickly and easily to any new company policies introduced or widespread changes within the company, group or travel industry.

Experience Required:

*Highly motivated and target driven.
*A proven track record of achieving personal sales targets within a call centre or retail environment and of coaching others to do so.
*A professional, confident telephone manner is essential
*Previous experience of call and email monitoring
*Management experience of a team of 6 or more sales staff
*Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
*Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills
*Prioritising, time management and organisational skills
*Knowledge of both long-haul & short-haul travel destinations
*A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
*Knowledge of another European language (desired but not essential)
*Amadeus proficiency (desired but not essential)
*In depth knowledge of the travel and tourism industry
*Energy and enthusiasm - must find the work interesting, enjoy being accountable and
willing to hold others accountable

The Package:
Full Time (Monday - Friday with rotational Saturdays during peak)
£30,000 - £35,000 (dependent on experience)
