A very exciting opportunity has arisen in the Brighton area, my client is currently looking for an experienced Operations Manager. Are you a strong problem solver who has experience of working within the travel industry? An expanding and very successful travel company, based in Brighton require an experienced Operations Manager to remotely manage overseas staff in a range of destinations, resolving any problems and concerns on travel requirements and projects. This role requires frequent overseas travel so a degree of flexibility is required.


OPERATIONS MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION:
* Take full ownership in managing overseas staff
* Hire and train overseas staff
* Research and implement new travel programmes
* Work closely with sales and marketing teams
* Manage budgets within each destination
* Handle any problems that occur
* Provide your expert travel knowledge
* Willing to work overseas when required and sometimes at short notice


OPERATIONS MANAGER EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
* Must have worked in the travel industry in a similar position
* Proven experience in managing global teams and projects
* Well travelled, ideally worked within a management position overseas
* Driven and self-motivated
* Strong experience in project management
* Be able to make tough decisions
* Keen eye to detail and can spot new ideas for expansion


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Remote management of two overseas programmes, and staff teams
* Pre-empt and troubleshoot any problems and issues that arise on the programmes to ensure the high level of customer service expected
* Manage relationships with overseas partners, including hospitals, accommodation and government institutions
* Provide personalised support to customers during their preparation before travelling
* Research and implement new development opportunities and improvements for each programme
* Hire and train new overseas staff when necessary
* Manage budgets and accounts and to take full operational and financial responsibility for the success and growth of each destination


THE PACKAGE:
The successful candidate can expect a very generous basic salary in the region of £26000 - £30000 this is dependent on experience and there will be other company benefits.
