Out of Hours Business Travel Consultant
Role:
To assist clients with booking business travel, often when they have experienced a disruption to booked travel arrangements. Therefore, the role will require the ability to maintain a high level of efficiency and an empathic approach in challenging circumstances. The successful candidate will need to be self-motivated and previous Out of Hours Business Travel consultant experience is essential.
Job Description:
- Working on key accounts, booking business travel using Sabre GDS
- Advising on effective, cost efficient travel solutions
- Maintaining the same levels of customer service as the ‘day team’
- Booking all aspects of business travel across the UK, Europe and other destinations, including rail travel, flights, car hire and hotel bookings
- Booking travel for varying quantities- from individuals to large groups
- Maximising revenue opportunities for the TMC
Skills:
- Knowledge of Sabre -essential
- Fares and Ticketing (Level 1 and 2)- desirable
- Geographical awareness/knowledge of key travel routes/airlines
- Sound communication and computer literacy skills are a must
- Efficiency and ability to multi-task/prioritise tasks
- An ability to think on feet and find solutions
