Dartmoor Multi Academy Trust is seeking to appoint an innovative and experienced Executive Chef, to lead the provision of our in-house catering services for our family of 17 schools. 

This is an exciting opportunity to shape catering services, as the Trust has recently brought all schools in house. We are looking for a highly motivated person with strong technical, organisational and people skills to manage catering in our 17 schools, for approximately 3,000 secondary pupils and 2,000 primary pupils. The role involves full operational, health and safety and financial responsibility for catering provision and staff across all school sites in the Trust, delivering the highest quality of food and service with flair and originality whilst meeting all healthy eating and nutritional standards, and aiming to make the Trust catering provision one of the best school catering offers in the South West.

As a team leader  you will have a ‘hands on’ approach to training and food production, as well as having good organisational and people management skills to manage and develop the services across our schools.

The successful applicant will have a commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality, customer care and hygiene and will ideally have a minimum of 5 years’ management experience within a catering environment and be HND, NEBSS or OND qualified.

This is a senior management role within the support services of the Trust, interacting and working collaboratively with colleagues and outside suppliers as lead of a professional team. Working across all sites, you will be expected to be mobile and flexible to work across all sites. Your base of work will be negotiable. 

Salary: Grade G, dependent on qualifications and experience.

Working Pattern: Full time, Permanent post.
