Junior Sous chef - Mannings Heath Golf & Wine Estate

We are looking for a Junior Sous chef - (Commis Chefs welcome to apply) to join our small team. The ideal candidate will have experience of working in Restaurant and catering environment producing fresh food with locally sourced ingredients at Mannings Heath Golf & Wine estate.

Salary: Up to £25,000.00 per year

We are looking for someone who:

• Has innovation, creativity and attention to detail
• Relishes in the pressure of a kitchen environment
• Has a background in Gastro pubs or hotels
• Ideally has their own transport
• Is used to working with fresh ingredients and places heavy emphasis on quality and consistency
• Has a good understanding of health & safety and food safety guidelines within the kitchen

Experience:

• Chef: 2 years (preferred)

Job Duties:

• Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
• Follow recipes and presentation specifications
• Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintain a clean working station whilst adhering to health & safety standards
• Assist with the cleaning and organisation of kitchen and equipment
• Restock items as needed throughout the shift
• Adhere to all food hygiene & safety standards

Additional Duties:

• Menu planning
• Food shopping
• Recording food temperatures
• Preparing reports
