We are seeking an experienced Travel Copy Writer to join a luxury travel company in the London or Surrey area or working from home.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Brand, the Lead of Creative Copy and Communications is a key role in the Marketing team, working closely with colleagues across the business.

Copy Writing Duties:

  • Delivering inspiring and compelling copy and content, bringing tours, holidays and cruises and to life for clients.
  • Communicating to new and existing clients, through a range of channels, from press advertising to brochures, direct mail pieces to emails, advertorials to press releases, and, alongside on-line content writers, for the company’s website.
  • Lead on creating engaging, compelling, stand-out sales messaging for new and existing travel products, tours and cruises, working in association with Product Managers.
  • Support the wider Acquisition teams with their work, particularly with Social and PR and with differentiated copy to meet B2B and B2C needs.
  • Writing press releases for Travel Agencies.
  • Manage projects with many stakeholders.
  • Propose new content ideas to support lead generation.

Copy Writing Essential Requirements:

  • An experienced writer with a passion for the travel industry, with the ability to create unique copy and content that sells holidays and cruises in a highly competitive marketplace
  • Copy writing experience within the travel industry is highly ideal but not key.
  • A desire to positively impact the sales performance of the organisation through words
  • A demonstrable flair and command of the English language
  • Proven experience creating engaging copy and content of varied formats with a portfolio to share
  • Excellent writing, editing and proof-reading skills in English
  • Thorough understanding of tone of voice and experience in shaping and maintaining a brand voice
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • IT literate including MS Office and Google Docs
  • Working knowledge of SEO, and HTML would be an added benefit but not essential.
