OPERATIONS & EVENT MANAGER
We'd love you to join us if you're passionate about hospitality and delivering outstanding customer service! We're looking for an OPERATIONS MANAGER with extensive banqueting experience to head up our team at Crear, Kilberry, by Tarbert, Argyll. A busy rural business on the west coast of Scotland.
Permanent long term position - ideal for anyone looking to have a secure and stable position in hospitality while living in a stunning part of the world. This role is hands on and therefore you would be required to live locally. There are excellent local primary and secondary schools in the area. A three bed detached house looking out to sea could potentially be included in the package. You must have a driving license and your own transport.
The CREAR team are based in Argyll, Glasgow and the Central belt. You would be closely supported by the whole Crear team who are based in Argyll and the Crear Office is in the West End of Glasgow.
Experience of both living and working in a remote and rural location

The ability to spin many plates at once and remain calm in the face of any crisis essential.
Overseeing the operational side of Crear to ensure the smooth running of the business on the ground.
Front of House - Meeting and greeting guests Overseeing the operational side of each event and ensuring every aspect of the guests stay runs smoothly.
Running the kitchen service with up to 120 banqueting covers
Crear is an exclusive use destination wedding venue hosting over 200 events per annum. The house itself sleeps twelve guests and the cottage, which also hosts elopement weddings throughout the year, sleeps a further eight guests.
You will be responsible for the smooth running of events & ensuring our standards of service are met. This is also a hands on role thus you will be assisting members of the team as well as supervising.
Attitude is more important than experience as we are happy to give you all the training required. You must enjoy rural life & have previous experience of living in a remote location, have a good sense of humour, pride in your work & attention to detail. Your own transport is essential.
