Kitchen Manager

Kesh's Kitchen is a family run production Kitchen that provides fresh meal concepts to its own chain of convenience stores and supermarkets in the Peterborough area.

We are looking for an experienced Kitchen Manager who will be responsible for managing the production kitchen and an in store kitchen at our flagship store in Whittlesey.

The production kitchen creates fresh ready meals, part prepared meals and meal kits that are packaged and labelled under our own brand. The in store kitchen will provide a fresh breakfast, lunch and evening meal solutions in store for our customers.

The Kitchen Manager will be responsible for the overall operations of the production kitchen and in store kitchen.

Applicants should be experienced in a Kitchen Management role, with knowledge of running a high volume, freshly prepared, food operation. The ability to delegate responsibility, but also to lead by example, is essential in what is a fast paced business. The successful candidate must have the talent, drive and vibrant personality to build a focused kitchen team, and be fully adept at stock management, GP maximisation and cost control. Computer & IT skills are essential.

This is a key role in the senior management team, reporting directly to the company founders, and will be responsible for all aspects of Kitchen Production, with an input in menu development. The role will also include staff recruitment, training & management, and the implementation and management of all kitchen health & safety procedures.

We are therefore looking to recruit an experienced ‘hands-on’ Production Kitchen Manager, who is able to demonstrate a stable and progressive background, to their current role of Production Kitchen Manager, gained in high volume, and fast paced, fresh food led operations.
