This is a new role that will support the Director of Event Sales & Operations in driving profitable revenue and providing effective operational support for the Event Space at CEME, which has 17 meeting rooms and event spaces within its venue and forms part of a wider business campus in the London Borough of Havering.
Key duties of the role will be proactive sales for new and retained clients, ensuring that the operational service is delivered to the required standards, managing operational staff as required and being the first point of contact for operational queries, including suppliers who support the delivery of our service. You will support the Director to produce data for reporting, working with the wider team to create campaigns and activities, represent the company at meetings and external events, and deputise for the Director in their absence.
The successful candidate will have exceptional levels of personal presentation and a positive attitude and have a desire to exceed customers' (both internal and external) expectations. You will come from a similar role within a large venue or event organisation, already holding a managerial role, or in a Sales Executive role looking to progress.
The role is being offered on a five from seven basis which means weekend working will apply. Exceptional flexibility is required in order to meet our current business needs. A non-contractual performance related pay scheme will apply on qualifying (OTE £5k per annum).
