SUMMARY

Exciting opportunity to play a key role supporting the global head of our travel practice with the management and development of key accounts including Emirates, Virgin, easyJet as well as IHG, Premier Inn and Mandarin Oriental hotels to mention just 6 of over 20 leading travel brands that you would work with. Across our team we work with the majority of the world's airlines, hotel groups, cruise lines and other travel suppliers.

OVERVIEW

The position of Strategic Account Manager (SAM) is responsible for developing new business relationships and serving as the first level of support to existing clients. The SAM serves as a point of contact for the client, and is expected to consistently provide excellent customer service and consultation services. They will represent client needs and goals internally within TransPerfect to ensure successful project completion and client satisfaction. In addition they will develop relationships with prospective and existing clients to encourage new and repeat business opportunities. The SAM works on any day-to-day project leadership activities including collaborating with clients, account managers, and production teams during the planning and execution phases of each project.

DESCRIPTION

  • Research prospective clients through several strategies including internet research, trade show lists, referrals, various professional directories and personal investigation
  • Educate prospective and existing clients regarding the content, digital marketing and translation services and process, including how the Company charges, validation for turnaround time, and competitors’ information
  • Creatively problem solve to improve current new business development strategy
  • Negotiate rates and deadlines with prospective and current clients
  • Be responsible for the management of contracts (Preferred Provider Agreements, Master Services Agreements, etc.) with clients, including leading contract review and renewal, proposal writing, projects estimates, and price negotiations
  • Schedule meetings with existing clients, and introduce clients to new technology and service solutions offered by the Company
  • Be responsible for the client side of projects, including setting and communicating project details and delivery dates to Production departments
  • Liaise with Production to ensure that all jobs are handled appropriately and with keen attention to detail, resulting in a perfect product
  • Consistently follow-up with clients to ensure their satisfaction with delivery, quality, and customer service
  • Investigate with Production any claims of poor quality or questions from clients after a translation has been completed
  • Research and understand all industries that TransPerfect markets to, including industry leaders, current events and any other pertinent data
  • Attend Trade Shows, Conferences, Events, and Functions relating to the industry in order to develop contacts and leads
  • Utilize creative skills to improve the design and development of marketing campaigns throughout the industry
  • Implement new initiatives to further develop business in the designated verticals in the dedicated region through new mailing lists, referral programs, cold calling, presentations, extending existing Preferred Provider relationships
  • Create monthly plans and performance reports for client and management
  • Bill completed jobs in a timely fashion
  • Aggressively pursue due and overdue unpaid revenue from clients via phone calls, letters, and other creative methods to make certain that clients pay in a timely manner

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in account management

  • A localization background is preferred but not a requirement
