Sandwich Chef Opportunity in Deli Café / Restaurant

Bebo is seeking a Sandwich / Counter Chefs, with good catering/food preparation and presentation experience; sometimes referred to as "food craft". With Sandwiches and Salads Counter prepared, Bebo serve fast but healthy food, to be enjoyed at the tables of the comfy Cafés or Take Away/delivered. At Bebo the aim is to deliver excellence in quality of products and service, as this is what our customers have become accustomed to and expect.

The role is open to those with experience in food preparation and an eye for presentation. The Menu at Bebo is delicatessen based, and the focus is on gourmet sandwiches and salads. The Deli Chef’s role will include but is not limited to the preparation and presentation of the ingredients, making and plating to order.

The vacancy is at the Welwyn Garden City unit. On-shift training will be given to help integration to the team which delivers excellent service in an established and popular comfy Café environment.

You will need to have (but are not limited to):

• Experience in catering / hospitality / food preparation

• A good knowledge of food and service styles

• The ability and enthusiasm to develop and progress in the role

• Food hygiene training - This will also form part of our training

• Understand the meaning of COSHH, Health & Safety, and food hygiene regulations

• Flexibility with hours & days worked (as the trading hours are between 6:30am – 6:30pm), there is the possibility to work from 2 shifts to 5 shifts a week.

• A smart, professional and personable demeanour

Salaries:

Salaries will be negotiable: With a choice of Hourly Rates up to £11.00 an hour dependent upon experience.

Due to the start and end time of shifts, in addition to the key skills above, the successful applicant will need to demonstrate that they are able to commute to or from Welwyn Garden City Town Centre within 30-40 minutes from where they reside.
